About us
The Pearl of Comfort and Solace Initiative (POCASI) is a psychosocial and mental health–focused charitable organisation dedicated to supporting immigrants, caregivers, employees, frontline professionals, internally displaced persons (IDPs), refugees, and other vulnerable populations in the United Kingdom, Nigeria, and across Africa.
We work with individuals and communities affected by trauma, displacement, demanding care roles, workplace stress, violence, poverty, and social exclusion.
Founder’s Message
PEARL OF COMFORT AND SOLACE INITIATIVE was born out of a deep commitment to restoring dignity, hope, and psychological wellbeing for individuals and communities affected by trauma, displacement, and vulnerability.
As a psychotherapist, social rehabilitation professional, and mental health practitioner, I have worked closely with immigrants, refugees, survivors of trafficking, domestic abuse, and other marginalised groups across diverse settings. Through this work, I have seen how unmet psychosocial needs can hinder recovery, stability, and long-term wellbeing.
At POCASI, we believe healing requires safe spaces, culturally sensitive care, and community support. Our mission is to meet people where they are and support them on a journey from crisis to stability, and from survival to strength.
We are committed to ensuring that mental health support is accessible, inclusive, and empowering for all those we serve.
